Meet the Trainer

Ida Lyons Geering is the owner and trainer of Leader of the Pack. She has a BA degree in Psychology from Denison University. She became a certified trainer through an apprenticeship, where she gained great hands-on experience and knowledge.  Ida also is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA ). She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), an AKC Good Canine Citizen evaluator.

For years she has been studying different training techniques, how dogs think and relate in a family setting. Her experience includes working as a dog trainer and Animal Care Supervisor at a cage-less boarding facility and volunteer at a local animal shelter.  She is committed to continuing her education through seminars and conferences.
