Happy National Dog Day!

Happy National Dog Day!

dog-1194087_960_720It’s time to put your party hats on! National Dog Day is celebrated every August 26th in appreciation for all the pups in the U.S. that keep us safe and bring us comfort and companionship!

Here are a few ways you and your beloved furry friend can celebrate together!

  • Take your dog to the beach! With Fall coming soon, the warm Summer months will be coming to an end. Why not celebrate with a beautiful beach day?
  • Take a fun photo shoot! Hire a friend or photographer for a day, put a party hat and some confetti on your pup and snapshot some memories!
  • Have a National Dog Day party and invite all your friends and their dogs!
  • Treat your furry friend to an ice cream pup cup or edible (and dog-friendly) cake!

If you are currently in the market of finding your fur-ever friend, adopt a dog from your local shelter or pure breed rescue organization! You can also volunteer at your local shelter and offer to walk/play with a dog, clean cages or anything else they need help with!

If you are looking for ways to give your pooch a more loving and caring life, you can sign up for our group class or private lessons for obedience training today! Leader of the Pack Dog Training Fall schedule for group classes begins September 14th. Our group classes are 5 weeks long and are split into two categories. The Basic Obedience class will begin at 7 pm followed by the more advanced class, Obedience with Distractions, at 8 pm.

If you cannot make our group classes, we also offer private lessons! For more information on the different types of private lessons we offer, click here!
